STRICTLY COME DANCING HIT BY ANOTHER INJURY NIGHTMARE — JAIME WINSTONE FORCED TO STEP AWAY AS HER FUTURE ON THE SHOW HANGS IN THE BALANCE!
The actress, who has already endured two nerve-racking dance-offs during this year’s competition, now faces an entirely different challenge — recovering from an injury that has brought her rehearsals to an abrupt halt.
Doctors have instructed the star to rest completely, meaning she and professional partner Carlos Gu will be absent from Saturday night’s performance.
Although the pair have been granted a temporary reprieve under the BBC competition’s rules, their immediate future remains uncertain.

A DEVASTATING SETBACK AFTER WEEKS OF FIGHTING TO SURVIVE
For Winstone, the timing could hardly be worse.
Having already faced elimination twice, the actress had been battling to maintain her place in one of Britain’s most demanding television competitions.
Last weekend saw her return to the dreaded dance-off for a second time, forcing her to perform again in an effort to convince the judges that she deserved another opportunity.
She survived that challenge, but her latest setback has now interrupted her progress.
In an emotional statement, Winstone confirmed the seriousness of her injury and explained why continuing to dance was no longer possible.
“I am absolutely devastated not to be dancing this weekend due to a torn abdominal muscle,” she said.
“I am in considerable pain, and my doctors have advised complete rest to give my body the best possible chance to heal.”
Her words underline the physical demands of a competition in which celebrities must repeatedly push themselves through intensive rehearsals and live performances.
CARLOS GU LEFT WAITING AS PAIR RECEIVE TEMPORARY LIFELINE
The injury also means an unexpected break for Carlos Gu, who has been guiding Winstone through the competition.
Under Strictly Come Dancing’s rules, the couple will receive a bye into the following week’s show, allowing Winstone additional recovery time without immediately losing her place.
However, the arrangement does not guarantee that she will be physically ready to compete again.
The BBC confirmed that it hopes the pair will return next week, but no definite comeback date has been announced.
For Winstone, the prospect of watching her fellow contestants perform while she remains unable to dance is particularly painful.
She admitted that stepping away was frustrating but acknowledged that following medical advice was essential.
“As frustrating as it is, I have to put my health first,” she explained.

SECOND INJURY DISRUPTION ROCKS THE 2026 SERIES
Winstone’s absence marks another injury-related interruption to this year’s competition.
Earlier in the series, Australian singer Delta Goodrem was also forced to miss a live show because of injury.
The latest setback highlights the physical challenges facing celebrities as the competition intensifies.
Unlike a disappointing judges’ score or an unsuccessful performance, an injury can threaten a contestant’s participation regardless of their determination or improvement.
And for Winstone, who has already fought through two elimination battles, the possibility of being unable to continue is especially difficult.
ONE UNANSWERED QUESTION NOW HANGS OVER HER RETURN
Despite the disappointment, Winstone remains hopeful that her Strictly journey is not over.
“I love every moment of dancing and performing with Carlos,” she said, adding that she was praying for a speedy recovery.
She also thanked viewers for their continued encouragement and wished the remaining contestants luck for Saturday’s show.
Her message ended with a heartfelt hope that she would return to the dance floor soon.
For now, however, her comeback depends on how quickly her injured abdominal muscle heals and whether doctors consider it safe for her to resume dancing.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
