‘NO.1 TARGET’ — FEAR GRIPS A DISGRACED EX-COP AFTER A BRUTAL PRISON ATTACK SHOCKED THE SYSTEM — former police officer turned killer Wayne Couzens is reportedly “petrified” behind bars, fearing he could be next after notorious Soham murderer Ian Huntley was violently beaten in prison, with insiders saying the disgraced ex-cop now believes a target has been placed squarely on his back inside the jail walls.
KILLER ex-cop Wayne Couzens is terrified of being attacked following the beating suffered by Ian Huntley on his prison wing.
Couzens, 53 — who murdered Sarah Everard in 2021 — is said to be cowering in his cell at HMP Frankland, County Durham.
A source said: “He’s petrified.
“He’s told people he fears he’ll be next and is the No1 target now after the Huntley attack.
“This week marks the fifth anniversary of Sarah’s murder and has put him even more in the spotlight.

“He’s obviously ex-police, which puts him in greater danger, and his crime is so notorious.”
Other lags in fear of an ambush include Urfan Sharif, 43, who killed his daughter Sara, ten, and morgue monster David Fuller, 71.
Bosses have searched for weapons and confined many cons to their cells.
The source added: “A lot of prisoners do not feel safe in there after what happened to Huntley and to Ian Watkins.”
Paedo ex-Lostprophets singer Watkins, 48, was stabbed to death at Wakefield Prison, West Yorks last October.
Two inmates have appeared in court charged with murdering him.
Huntley – serving at least 40 years for the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, both 10, in Soham, Cambs in 2002 – was announced to be in an induced coma in hospital after being battered up to 15 times with a metal pole.
Police are investigating the brutal attack, said to have been carried out by triple killer and rapist Anthony Russell, 43, at a recycling workshop.
Huntley has stunned medics by clinging to life after being given just a five per cent chance of survival when he was first attacked.
