This Michigan man is now in the conversation for threatening to break, what is considered, an unbreakable “Jeopardy” record.
Jamie Ding is a 2009 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School.
He has won 26 games in a row with cash winnings totaling a whopping $732,000. That ranks him No. 6 in “Jeopardy” all-time winnings.
Jennings, who won 74 games in a row in 2004, earned $2,520,700 on the game show.
While Ding has quite a ways to go, he has already made a big name for himself and won quite a bit of money.
Ding earned a degree in molecular biology from Princeton. He is currently a law student at Seton Hall University.

Ding’s family still lives in Grosse Pointe Shores. His father is a professor of neuroscience at Wayne State University and his mother is a retired math teacher.
“Jeopardy” airs at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on various TV stations across Michigan, including on WDIV Channel 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Detroit market and on WWMT, CBS, at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Rapids area. It also airs in Flint at 7:00 p.m. on WNEM, Channel 5.
