‘Wheel of Fortune’ Player Stuns Fans After Solving Tricky $40K Puzzle
A “Wheel of Fortune” contestant stunned fans on Tuesday night after pulling off an unbelievable Bonus Round victory — and walking away with an extra $40,000 on top of her earlier winnings.
Marie-Eve Augier, representing Miramar, Florida, wowed viewers with her sharp gameplay from the very start. Despite hitting a tough puzzle in the final challenge, her smart letter choices gave her the edge she needed to crack it wide open. After the win, she jumped for joy on stage with friends while fans watching at home couldn’t stop talking about her big moment on social media.

Augier faced off against Tania Bachelder of Auburn, Maine, and Kevin Schemm from Goodlettsville, Tennessee. She started strong, nailing the very first puzzle and taking the early lead. But things shifted during the Mystery Round when Bachelder swooped in to grab the prize puzzle, scoring $4,750 worth of prizes.
Not one to back down, Augier roared back with a string of correct answers. In the Express Round, she scored big by solving another prize puzzle — this time earning a trip to the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites valued at $8,300, according to blogger Andy Nguyen. By the time the final regular round wrapped up, she had secured $20,450 in cash plus the luxury getaway, guaranteeing her a shot at the Bonus Round.

For her last challenge, Augier picked the category “What Are You Doing?” With Ryan Seacrest hosting at the wheel and her friends Rochelle and Farrah cheering her on, she grabbed a golden prize envelope and faced the board. After the standard letters R, S, T, L, N, E appeared, she added C, H, P, and O as her extra choices — and it turned out to be a brilliant move.
When the letters popped up, the puzzle read: “POS_N_ _OR _ P_C.” Seacrest started the 10-second countdown, and Augier wasted no time. She confidently blurted out the correct answer: “Posing For A Pic.”

The audience exploded as Seacrest revealed the contents of her envelope: a $40,000 cash bonus. That brought her grand total to an incredible $60,450 plus the Salem vacation.
Fans lit up social media with reactions. One user commented on YouTube: “That was a masterclass — safe letters like C, P, and O were perfect. Brilliant Bonus Round!” Another added: “I’d be furious if I got an abbreviation like that… unless I guessed exactly the way she did!”
